And I Dub Thee The Jamaican Latte {Coffee & Myer's Dark Rum "Martini" Recipe}

Celebrating Tuesday..... someone's gotta do it.  Why not me?  I had this extra coffee... and an empty Martini glass and thought to myself what can I make?  Then I somehow those yummy Vietnamese Coffees popped in my head and I thought, 'that's what I'll do'.  So, I was looking for some Vanilla Stoli in my liquor storehouse when I spied the Myer's.... yeah.  It was a done deal.

HERE'S WHAT YOU NEED:
2 parts coffee {old & cold preferably}
1 part sweetened condensed milk
1 part Myer's Dark Rum
your Martini shaker
a pretty Martini glass
some pretty sugar for the rim
3 coffee beans for good luck

HERE'S WHAT YOU DO:
fill your shaker with ice, add the coffee, "milk" and rum.  Shake, shake, shake and then shake a little more.

Dampen the rim of the glass and gently roll in the sugar, strain the "martini" into glass, add 3 coffee beans, take pictures of it all over your house... oh wait, that's just me.

You should sit back and prepare to smile.  It's lovely.

  1. I've got all the necessary ingredients except the old coffee. Guess I will have to plan Wednesday better.

  2. Good call with this one! You get a buzz and can stay up all night. That'll work well for me since I'm always the first to fall asleep.
