PARTY FOOD FOR DINNER! {Bacon Chili Chicken Bites}

Bacon Chili Chicken Bites
Let me just say these are sent straight from the Food Gods to your lips.... and EVERYONE will love them.  I mean it's true, EVERYTHING is better in bacon.  My friend Leah sent me this recipe in a food chain letter as an easy dinner favorite from her house and I've make it for dinner AND as an appetizer.... Two Yums Up EVERY time!

And easy.

WHAT DO YOU NEED?
Well, depends what you are doing.... for an app make 3 per person {in conjunction with other appetizers} for dinner count on 5 per person

THAT IN MIND, YOU WILL NEED:
1 boneless skinless chicken breast per approximately 9 "bites"
1/4 Cup Brown Sugar per breast
1 TBSP Chili Powder per breast
3 slices of bacon {thin!} cut in thirds

WHAT YOU DO:
MAKE AHEAD STEPS {can be done a day in advance}:  Prepare a large sided baking sheet with parchment paper.  Slice your chicken into good sized cubes/bites, a regular thick chicken breast will yield about 9 pieces.  In a baggie combine chicken with 1/2 of the spices and mix well.  Then wrap your chicken in bacon and secure with a toothpick.  If making ahead cover tightly with saran wrap and refrigerate tray until ready to cook}.

READY TO COOK?
Preheat over to 350F.
Sprinkle remaining sugar and chili powder generously across prepared bites.
Bake uncovered for 30 minutes.
ENJOY....
serve hot or room temperature!

p.s. Here's a cute serving idea if you are making as an app.... the sauce is some spiced up ranch.... add chili powder to taste, serve in a cut out pepper with a light sprinkle on your serving tray of Chili Powder
