The Limoncello Journey continues...... {Sparkling Limoncello Sangria}

 I've been DYING to share this recipe, it was one of my favorite things from my Easter brunch this year BUT certainly a drink that would rock any occasion or just a chillin'-by-the-pool Saturday.

What you ask? Well, my Limoncello Sangria of course.  As you may recall, I made my own Limoncello for this very occasion and while it was a 3-4 week process, it was well worth it {but you can cheat and buy from liquor store... I won't tell}.

Hate to be full of myself but it was FAB. The Limoncello alone and the Sangria.

Crisp. Light. and yes, beautiful. I know, enough already, enough already.

Here's what you need:
Limoncello
Prosecco {or any Brut/dry Champagne or sparkling wine}
Club Soda
Lemons

I'll tell you two recipes.... one for a cocktail or two and one for vat for your soiree.

Just you?
1 part Limoncello
3 parts Prosecco
2 parts club soda
lemon garnish

have everything chilled and combine in a big wine glass OR pour over ice in your Red Solo Cup for the pool....

A Vat?
4 cups Limoncello
3 bottles Prosecco
1 liter club soda
3-4 dozen lemons
{some cut in rounds for floating, some for garnish}

Combine in your vat.... I used my Egg Decanter my BFF bought me {she says it's a pineapple.... I'll let you be the judge!} and it was about three quarters full, which was a good amount for roughly 15 guests.

No matter how you do it, JUST DO IT, it's that good!

  1. I LOVE this. I only like limoncello in small doses, but I love prosecco--this is the perfect combo.

  5. I do have a big bottle of limoncello and I think I will make the "just you" before I have to make the big vat. After all I have to insure I have something to drink. Delicious elixir, Cheers!

    1. pre-testing is VERY important, it's not something we WANT to do, but something we MUST do ;)

  6. I would love to make my own Limoncello. I remember watching Under the Tuscan Sun for the first time and all I could remember was that homemade Limoncello!
